  • Hey Everyone!
I hope you all are having a great spring so far and are as excited as I am for warm weather! (It’s not quite here yet, but it’s on its way!)

Well, as I’m sure you know, we came back from Big Ten’s this weekend without the win we were hoping for. We traveled to MSU on Friday for a practice day and then had our Big Ten banquet that night. We had so much fun getting dress up and glamorized, and we all had to admit that the banquet food was actually very delicious! The day of the meet we were feeling really confident, but unfortunately sometimes things just don’t go the way you want and we had four very uncharacteristic falls on beam. In spite of that disappointment, there were many high points in the meet and we are so proud of all our teammates that came back with individual honors and awards. Also, I’ve got to say how amazing it was, after our not-so-hot start on beam, that Becca and Lindsey were able to deal with the pressure and hit solid routines, and then we were able to rotate to the next event and make six outstanding floor routines! It was so cool that we could turn ourselves around like that! Even though we are unhappy with our Big Ten performance overall, we are going to use this experience to motivate us to go into Regionals and have our best meet yet! We are so excited that Regionals is being hosted in Ann Arbor and we’re looking forward to having a great home crowd to cheer us on!

Hope to see you all there!

  • Well hello everyone!

First off, I would like to say thank you to everyone who came out last weekend to my senior meet! It was definitely bittersweet, but I am glad I was able to share it with all of you very special people. However, I am extremely excited we are hosting Regionals, so I can have one last hurrah at Crisler! I hope you all can make it out. I am also really proud of my mom and me. We both kept it together and no tears! Not going to lie, we both got a little choked up and teary eyed.

Well this week has been awesome and we are definitely prepared for Big Tens! Everyone looked really good at practice and we had a great time. Joanne even made up a really fun game for us to play on floor! Today we were given the day off (yeah)! This actually made me realize that it is a real good thing I do gymnastics and practice everyday because when I don’t, I spend a lot of money (I hope my parents don’t read this). I had an exam this morning (which don’t anyone worry, I aced), however, I then proceeded to spend money. I started by getting my hair done (low lights and highlights …it looks fabulous), I then bought a dress and some other clothing items (hey, I needed one for the Big Ten banquet because I need to look great), I met Clare for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, bought some hair products and then went to Panera for dinner and studying! I am not going to mention the grand total of the day!

Well, I am going to get back to my studying. I hope to see all of you who can make it, at Big Tens! It should be fun.

  • Hi Everyone,

How exciting was that Georgia meet? It was a great night of gymnastics and the energy in Crisler was incredible. It was so exciting for us to go out and have our best meet of the year against the defending National Champions. It was a real confidence boost to see our team feed off of the energy and step up our level of competition and achieve our highest team score yet. Everyone pulled together and we showed that we could compete with the best. We are truly coming together as a team, which is enabling us to perform to the best of our capabilities. Our team chemistry will be vital as we head into the post season. Speaking of the post season, this Friday Night is not only the last regular season meet of the year, but it is also SENIOR NIGHT! Jenny, Becca, and Lauren have all been wonderful assets to our team both inside and outside of the gym over the past few years. They are all such great teammates and have taught us so much in life, it will be inexplicable hard to see them go. So please come out to give these seniors the send off they deserve! GO BLUE…..WE LOVE YOU!!

  • Hello Everyone!! We hope everyone has been doing well. We just finished up our spring break. It didn’t seem very long but it was nice not to have classes for a week. It gave us more time to work in the gym and also catch up on some homework. We had a fun week in the gym doing a lot of team work which really helped us out this past weekend at Denver. This was such a fun meet for the team. We really pulled together and had a good time. Prior to the Denver meet we went to Southern Utah and competed over there coming out once again with a win. It wasn’t our best meet, but it really motivated and pushed us to work harder for the next meet. Although we did have a few individuals who really stepped up when we really needed them, like Nellie and her absolutely, amazing, fantastic, off the wall performance on the balance beam scoring a 9.925. We thought she deserved a ten!
After the meet we had a chance to relax and spend some time at Las Vegas! It was fun walking around to all the different hotels and seeing their own unique feature.
Well, we have to get back to work, but we are all looking forward to our next home meet against Georgia. It’s going to be some good competition. Hope to see you all there! Until next time. peace!

  • Hello Michigan fans!!!

The freshies are here again to talk about all the fun stuff that has been happening. Last Sunday, we went shopping to get supplies for Clare’s creative birthday present. We spent a total of four hours at Target and Meijer. Becky purchased finger paint, Tachi bought glasses and puffy paint while Huneth bought Hershey kisses, red plastic wrap, and green pipe cleaners to make 5th grade Valentine Roses. We had a blast. Not to mention what a beautiful day it was outside, the sun finally showed its face. Once we finally made it back to central campus we entertained ourselves with the Olympics and gift making. Finger painting was definitely the highlight of our week!:)

Our new academic center has now been open for one month, and it is Amazing! We usually sit in front of the fireplace on the comfy chairs and do our homework, or we go downstairs to the computer lab. Huneth has decided that the building is Gorgeous.

We just came off our highest team scores on bars and beam and we hope to continue that success into our meet this Friday against New Hampshire! Hope to see you all at our “coaches care” meet!! GO BLUE!

    Love,
    The Freshies

  • Hello Everyone!!
I hope you have all been doing well, and I hope that you’ve been following our season, because it’s been an exciting one! This past weekend we competed at the Michigan Classic. This is a meet that we compete in every year against all of the other Michigan gymnastics teams including us, Michigan State, Eastern, Central and Western Michigan. The competition was held at Central Michigan, so we all loaded up on a big bus for the three-hour drive. Our team has a wonderful time on bus trips. We all joke around listen to music and watch movies. Half way through the trip we got to stop for lunch, get coffee and shop around for a little bit. The only purchase made by any of my teammates was a giant diamond ring key chain, purchased by Jenny, who is very excited about getting married one day. (by the way, there are no plans for a wedding in the near future, but at least she finally has the ring!!) As I’m sure you all read, the meet was amazing. Our team pulled together so well!! Not only did we win the competition, but we got our best score of the season and had some amazing performances. Our wonderful senior Jenny won the all around, and right next to her was our amazing freshman Tachi, in second place. Also, Katie took first on vault and Lauren won bars. We were all very proud of our performance and are now looking forward to improving and doing even better in the future meets to come. Thanks for all your support, we love you all!!

  • Hey Guys,
Well, it has been a while since I have last posted so I will do my best to update all of you.
We have just arrived at Penn State for our second meet of the season, which is actually going to be a quad meet. Our first meet this season was in Nebraska and I have to say it feels good to be back competing. I think we were all happy with how we kicked off the season. Props to the freshman…they did awesome- Becky earned a 9.95 on bars! Not a bad way to start your college career- congrats!!! We have spent the week preparing and improving things from last week. We also went out around campus and handed out posters and flyers for MI gymnastics and K-Grams night! Clare, Becca, Megs, The Freshman and I were responsible for the Main St. businesses. I would like to share, that on our little endeavor we discovered one of the most amazing places in Ann Arbor (and Clare will back me up on this one)! It is called the Chocolate Café which is basically a little piece of heaven! It is located on Main St. right next to Prickly Pear. They have everything, and I mean everything dipped in chocolate!
Right now we all are anxiously awaiting tomorrow. We are all pumped to go out there and compete at our second away meet. The bus ride to Penn State was great (well, we actually flew into Harrisburg and then only had to drive an hour and a half or so). Anyways, while I wrote this team talk and imported some CD’s to my itunes, I was serenaded by Clare, L Bo (Lindsay Bourdon), Tatjana, Huneth and Becky! They sang everything from Disney’s Aladdin to rapping “Laffy Taffy” and finishing up by singing a little country! While I found this to be a very nice gesture, I politely suggested they stick to gymnastics or take some voice lessons! Hahaha!
That is all for now, we all hope to see you at our home opener against Ohio St. And remember it is K-Grams night! So come out to support a good cause and see some great gymnastics!!!

  • Hello again!!

I can’t believe that our first meet has come and gone! It seems like we never stopped competing (which is fine with me because that is my favorite part about gymnastics). We had a great trip to Nebraska where most of us were reunited with our families. My parents drove down from Minnesota along with two of my sisters and my little brother who is only six. I did not know that he was coming until the night before, so I was very excited when I found out. The flights all went well although some of our luggage did not arrive in Nebraska with all of us, but it came later that night. I always like it when we travel because I feel like we have more time to do our homework.

It was great to be back out on the floor competing again. We did not have to count a fall which was a great start to our season. The freshmen did a phenomenal job on all of their routines. Many of us were wowed by Becky’s bar routine which scored a 9.95.

We have practice this week Monday thru Thursday and then we head to Penn State on Friday after classes. The following weekend we are home to compete against Ohio State. There is not a better place to compete than Crisler Arena in front of all of you amazing fans!!

    Take care and GO BLUE!!

  • Hello Everyone,
First off, thanks to everyone for coming out and cheering us on at our annual intrasquad! It was great to see so many familiar faces and some new ones as well. We hope to see many of you again at our first home meet in Jan. Overall, I think we all did a great job at our first debut of routines. I especially think the freshmen did a great job of adapting to the new environment, which is much different than club gymnastics. Way to go freshmen. And even though I was a part of the maize team and we didn’t pull out a win, the blue team won this time, I was especially proud of how everyone was so solid and confident for this time of year!!! Thanks again for all the support.
Well, as of right now many of us including myself are studying very hard for finals, which are coming to an end early next week!!!! The coaches have set out assignments for us to complete, which means we have the opportunity to leave early and get some extra studying in. Everyone has been doing such a great job getting their job done in the gym. I’m proud of everyone for pushing through these last few practices before we go home for Christmas!!!
Yesterday it snowed for almost the entire day, and at practice as we looked out our huge windows, it almost felt as if we were in one of those snow globes!!! It was actually quite beautiful. Finally around 9pm the snow had stopped and my roommate and I, as well as a bunch of other friends decided to go sledding!!!!!! Growing up in California, I have never really had the chance to go sledding, so I wasn’t sure what really to expect. But I can tell you it was such an awesome experience and so much fun!!! I am hopping to go out and sled a few more times before I graduate! Well, its time for me to head to practice… it’s Friday!!!!! I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend! Happy Holidays.

  • Hello again everyone!!
Well, I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is over already!! I hope that you all had a great one. We had practice off on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, so we were all able to go home and see our families. From talking to the girls at practice yesterday, it sounds like everyone had a really nice time. We all came back into the gym rested and ready to go.

As for my Thanksgiving; when I got off of the plane in St. Cloud, Minnesota, I was given a surprise of freezing cold weather and snow that ended up being two inches. I wanted to go back to Ann Arbor. I realized that the one thing that I miss while at school is a fireplace. I sat by that and wrote a few papers while at home. My dad made a fabulous 14 pound turkey on Thanksgiving Day to feed my large family of nine people and some relatives. About a week before I was to head home, my little brother, who is six, called my phone and left a message asking if he could put up my little Christmas tree in his room, so while we had fun decorating my little four foot tree. We did have to take a quick break to head to Target when I realized that half of the lights did not work. Also, while at home I was able to watch my little sister play a hockey game and I sewed a pair of mittens with her.

The apartment that Lieb and I live in is looking pretty festive for Christmas with all of the lights and decorations that we have put up. The Coop (Becca, Jenny, Clare, and Megan’s house) is nicely decorated as well. They have a Christmas tree that looks like the one in Charlie Brown… it is leaning a little. I have yet to see, but I hear that Carol, Bruck, and Shanna’s house is looking pretty good also. We are getting really excited for Christmas!!

Practice is going really well for everyone as we are getting ready for the quickly approaching Intrasquad. I can’t believe that it is less than two weeks away. I hope to see all of you there!! Well, I have to get ready and head to class now. Take care everyone and GO BLUE!!

  • Hey everyone!! Us freshies are very excited about writing our very first team talk!!! We can’t believe that our very first semester in college is coming to an end. We still can’t believe we’re in college! We have no clue what classes we are going to take next semester ..or where we are going to live next year. But that’s okay because we are living in the moment! This semester is going by so fast. We remember move-in day and the first time we saw our dorm rooms. We were so excited and nervous that we didn’t know what to expect. I think we must have gotten lost about 25 times. But now we know central campus like the back of our hand. I think I was the worst, Tachi, I would end up in the complete wrong way and have to ask random people where I was and how to get where I was suppose to go. Classes are going really well and we can’t wait until this term is over, but first Thanksgiving is around the corner and everyone is excited about going home. We had Thanksgiving dinner in the dorms last week unfortunately I couldn’t make it, Becky, but Hun brought me back some of the goods. Yea, it was really good. Clare, Megs, Liebs, LBo, and Bruck all joined us for the festivities.

After our rough week with exams and papers galore, last Thursday, we saw HARRY POTTER!!! THE GOBLIN OF FIRE…that’s Hun for you, she doesn’t even know what it’s called…. Becky covered her eyes for most of the movie…remind you that it is PG13 but that’s Becky for you! It was really fun because we went to the very first screening at 12:01. It was AMAZING for those of you who haven’t seen it yet.

As for practice… we survived our first intra squad on vault and beam! We hit 18 out of 21 routines and it’s only November… Yea Baby! Tomorrow we will have another intra squad on the other two events… bars and floor. Everyone looks AMAZING words can’t even describe the beauty of the Michigan Women’s Gymnastics Team. We are so psyched about the season getting started, we can’t wait to travel to our first meet in Nebraska and represent Michigan. Wow!... we remember when we first walked into the gym and saw our names on our lockers and our bags full of stuff. It felt like Christmas in September. We have our Maize and Blue meet December 10th and we can’t wait to compete at Crisler and run through the giant M. It’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine! Everyone should come cheer us on and see our new floor routines!

Well, only one more practice left until Thanksgiving break. We are all looking forward to a nice home cooked meal! Yummy in my tummy! Have a wonderful, spectacular, superduper, fulfilling, Thanksgiving!!! As always... GO BLUE!

  • Hellllllooooo everyone!!!!! This is Lindsey and Carol speaking (Bruck and ‘lil mac). I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! We had a pretty good weekend, besides the loss to Ohio State, boo :o( My (Lindsey’s) uncle and cousins (Ohio State fans) came for the game and unfortunately I was the one that needed tissues and not them. But oh well, what can you do?
Lately we have been doing random things around the house anticipating the two wonderful holidays coming up. As Lieb and L-Bo mentioned we had a little Canadian/American Thanksgiving at our house. Yah, so we are a little new at the whole cooking Thanksgiving dinner thing and didn’t know the turkey comes frozen and had to be in the fridge for 2-3 days and then had to be wrapped and placed in cold water for 3-4 hours. So what did we do? We put the honker in the sink filled with HOT water. Surprisingly the thing tasted good. However, as we were carving into the sucker we found a giblet bag that we were suppose to remove. Good news is we are still alive and kicking!
So that was our Thanksgiving experience. Next week we moved on to Christmas. We spent the weekend decorating our lovely house with Christmas stuff. We put on a Christmas CD and whistled while we worked. We discovered we are not made for the music business, trust me, haha!
So anywho…we are looking absolutely fantastic in the gym! Everyone is working so hard! We are looking forward to intersquad and seeing all of you there! We just love our little freshies, they have fit in very nicely! Looking at them makes us remember the good ‘ole days of being freshman! Not going to lie we kind of miss the dorms! TEAR!
It has been great updating you all on what has been going on, but it is time for us to get back to the homework. Hope u guys have a great week! Until next time peace out!! :o)

  • Hi everyone!! Writing to you now on this “beautiful, but getting cold” fall day are Lindsay and Katie (LBo and Liebs)!! We are so happy to be writing this entry together (we can’t even start because we are laughing so hard)! We are going to begin by discussing funny experiences that have kept us entertained the past week or so. First off, “Q up the fun” (Qdoba) is not the only fun thing to do on a Thursday night…most of our team is also preoccupied with a certain show we call the OC!! If you have never watched an episode, this show combines more teenage drama, family mix-ups, relationship tension, and pure insanity than your average soap opera, which is exactly why we look forward to every Thursday night at 8!! So last week was the first time the OC had a new episode after a depressing month of absence due to the post season baseball games (LBo wouldn’t have been as depressed, but none of her teams made the world series!!) However, we were looking forward to the new episode. So we decided to have a big team OC party at LBo’s house because her roommates were out of town (they are all on the field hockey team and they were busy winning Big Tens!). So knowing that the whole team doesn’t watch the OC, we were expecting about eight people (give or take a few). LBo cooked (‘heated up’) food for ten, just in case more people showed up, and Katie brought over a plate full of cookies. Well…our feast was a success, but only three people showed up and we were two of them. Thanks Clare!! We knew you would come through! Lets just say LBo was lucky that Tatjana, Huneth, and Megs stopped by later to finish some of the food.

On the flip side from the social life, practice has been going well. The team looks really good and the freshmen seem to be adjusting real well. Our team looks ready to compete this week. Everyone is looking forward for season to start and Intrasquad will be here before we know it. Even though our practices have become more intense, we still find “fun” in everyday at the gym. For instance, one day before practice started we were hanging out in the training room and our incredible trainer, Lisa Hass, gave us a 101 lecture on how to take a person’s blood pressure (lab included). It was definitely a worthwhile lesson. We even tested our newly learned tactic on some of our patients (teammates and Lisa) and we are glad to diagnose our team as one of the healthiest in the country, as far as blood pressure goes. And even though we haven’t done it lately, one of our rituals is to jump in the Swim Ex (a small rehab pool, which is just big enough for us to jump in) and splash around with the intense current coming our way after a long week of practice (which is always a lot of fun)! Freshmen Friday is also a longstanding tradition at the end of practice, which is where the freshmen take pride in singing the fight song in front of the whole team. Freshmen…get ready for this Friday because you have to sing it in rounds while balancing on top of the low bar…haha!!

This Thursday we are going to Mott’s Children’s Hospital as a team and we are really looking forward to it. We love to go and spend time with some of the most amazing and optimistic children that really know the meaning of life. It’s always an inspirational visit and seems to make our team appreciate each other even more. They teach us not to take life for granted and to cherish each moment with the family and friends we love. Speaking of family, we all sense that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Whether it be listening to Christmas music on 100.3 FM (Clare); buying your first bag of red and green holiday M & M’s (LBo); watching Home Alone 1 and 2 in the same day (Megs and Liebs) or celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving (Shanna, Bruck, Carol, and Christina-the chef) all constitute our readiness for the holidays to come! And even though we love our days at Michigan so much, we are all extremely excited to go home and spend the holidays with our families.

Well we should probably get back to doing our homework, so we can spend the holidays in peace, since prof’s always tend to load us up before the breaks. Hopefully we’ll write again soon, and we hope to see you at intrasquad on Dec. 10. Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful holiday and GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Peace out,
    LBo and Liebs

  • Hello Michigan Gymnastics Fans!!

I hope that everyone has been enjoying the wonderful weather!! Being able to wear shorts in November is amazing. Fall has to be my favorite season in Ann Arbor, because the trees on campus are absolutely gorgeous. I can’t believe that it is already November. Everyone is looking so good in the gym and I can’t wait to start my last competition season. This past week was particularly special because it was Lauren’s 22nd birthday. After a great week of practice our entire team went to Nellie and Katie’s house to celebrate Lauren’s Birthday. The freshmen got her a huge cookie cake that said “Happy Birthday Lauren” in maize and blue, and I’m not going to lie, I enjoyed more than my fair share of it.

Now I didn’t want to share this embarrassing experience that I had, but it was pretty funny so… Last weekend Clare and I went to Ohio to get our floor routines done. The drive only took about three hours and we were pretty impressed that we got there without getting lost. On our way home we were blasting the music and singing as loud as we could, all of a sudden Clare said, “did that sign say Indiana?” We turned off the music and began to look for some more signs. A few minutes later we saw a big structure of the state of Indiana and a sign that said, “Welcome to Indiana.” Clare and I had driven to the wrong state. Needless to say, the three-hour drive ended up taking us six hours on the way home. Woops, hehe!!

Is everyone looking forward to Thanksgiving? I can’t wait to go home and get a good home-cooked meal. Thanksgiving dinner is my favorite; I love mashed potatoes!! I am especially excited to go home, because my older sister is having a new baby. The doctors say that she is going to have it this week, so I will be home just in time to see it. Well, I hope everyone is doing well. I can’t wait to see you at the meets!! Take care everyone and GO BLUE!!

  • Hello Michigan Gymnastics Fans!
I hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying the fall. Fall in Ann Arbor is gorgeous. The trees are looking magnificent, and keep putting a smile on my face when I am walking to my classes. Speaking of classes, we just finished up midterms! It was a bit stressful, as always, but we all made it through successfully. As a stress reliever we all got together as a team and made candy apples. They are a delicious fall treat. And just so you know if you ever want to taste the best apples of your life talk to Lindsey Bruck. When her mom and grandpa come to visit they always bring amazing New York apples. (great apples, great state! Haha)
On the topic of treats, I hope that everyone had a very Happy Halloween. We all enjoyed our annual tricks-for-treats day at practice. Every year it is so exciting to see what costumes everyone comes up with. Becca, Jenny, and Lauren dressed up as the coaches. They were hilarious. I even got a few beam corrections from Becca…I mean Bev. Haha. The juniors were the three little pigs, which was by far their best costume yet! The freshman stepped up to the plate and came in as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Scott dressed up as himself…..very scary! Just kidding. Everyone put in a valiant effort, but the sophomore class topped everyone yet again this year as, The Lollipop kids and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. They not only looked ridiculously fabulous, but had a nice little skit that had everyone laughing. The coaches and Lisa had some great costumes, and were really into the spirit of the day, which made it a very fun practice.
In regards to practice, I think everyone is doing a great job. This is a difficult time of year. Practice is intensifying as we move closer to the season, but everyone is progressing well. I am especially proud of the freshman. They not only made it through their first big college exams, but they have been working incredibly hard in the gym. They are a wonderful addition to this team as great student-athletes and great people. We are a very talented and happy team this year, and we cannot wait to show everyone what we have been training hard to do.
Anyway, I am off to bed so that tomorrow comes sooner. I cannot wait for tomorrow because not only is it Q up the Fun day, but the OC is back on. Our team loves watching the OC together!

I hope that everyone is having a fantastic fall and of course…GO BLUE!

    ~Clare

  • Hey Everyone!! I hope that you are all having a great fall so far. I know that I am. I love seeing the leaves change colors this time of year. They always look so beautiful. Well I know that our football team is not having the most impressive year... but I hope that you guys all saw the last game against Penn State!! How amazing was that last play??

We were on Fall Break on Monday and Tuesday so we had a very nice four day vacation. Some people went home to see their families and friends while the rest of us hung around Ann Arbor. I stayed here and did a lot of studying for my mid terms that I have coming up tomorrow and next Tuesday. I also chatted on the phone with a few friends from home that I hadn't talked to since I came back. I also took a little time to relax here and there.

The freshmen are really beginning to show their personalities. They are such a fun group of girls to have in the gym. They are all working really hard and becoming accustomed to the training here at school. They have such positive attitudes and always seem to have smiles on their faces. They are a perfect fit and we all absolutely love having them here with us.

I know that our first meet is a ways out yet, but Scott gives us the weekly countdown when we get to bars almost everyday. I love competing, so I am getting excited for it even though we still have seven weeks. I know that the time will fly by though. I hope that we will be able to see some of you there!!

Well, I have to head off to do some more studying before I head to class for the day.

    Take care and GO BLUE!!

  • Well, we are back into our schedule again, getting ready for the season (my last one, how sad. It went way too fast). Everyone has been working really hard and is looking great. I think we are getting excited for the season, especially to show you guys our new floor routines! We do still have awhile though. It has been fun getting to know our new freshmen. They are doing such a great job adjusting to college and it will be exciting to see what they can do this season!

Although, we have been training really hard, we have been having a lot of fun in the gym! We have a new radio station we listen to during practice, 107.1, that we call “the sev!” See our amazing, high-tech sound system seems to only get two stations, 107.1 and 102.9. If you haven’t ever listened to “the sev”, you need to. They play a variety of music from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today (ok, not really but they do have a lot of variety)!! Otherwise we listen to the most fabulous cd’s made by us!

We just had our Michigan Gymnastics tailgate last sat. It was really fun seeing some of you there as it was also great seeing some of our family. The game was a bummer (especially for me, being a MN native- and my father decided to bring down a bunch of buddies). Oh I know, I wasn’t happy about these MN fans my dad brought however, they did say that although they are from MN and alumni there- They are MICHIGAN GYMNASTICS FANS!!!!

I feel like I have so much to say being this is the first “team talk” of the new season! However, if I do miss something, I know one of my other teammates will make sure it gets posted.

Oh, I almost forgot (Clare would have been a little disappointed in me, had I forgot to mention, “Q up the fun”)!! We have a new tradition on the team this year. We call it “Q up the fun” Thursday. Basically, we all (or those who can make it each week) meet for dinner after practice at Qudoba. We have dinner and just chat a little. “Q up the fun” started last year on Wed., and Clare and I were basically they only ones who went each week. This year we wanted everyone to enjoy it because we loved it so much. Even Joanne was able to make it one week! I know, don’t we spend enough time together, right? Well, I guess we all just get a long so well and have so much fun together that we like spending all this time together!

Otherwise, not much has happened. Since we aren’t competing yet, we all like to go to other Michigan sporting events on the weekends to support other athletes and friends!! That is all for now. Hopefully I will have a great, funny story next posting!!!
