• Hello Everyone,
Well it’s hard to believe that Big Tens is already over. I don’t know where the time went. As you all know it was a very close meet but the girls fought to the very end like they have been doing all year and pulled out a WIN!!! It was a very sad and exciting meet to watch. It has been hard to sit out all year but nothing compares to watching Big Tens. This is one of the meets I really look forward to every year. Although I have to say that I am so proud of this team. I have never been so honored and humbled to be apart of any team. These girls will not give up and that’s what I love about them. Everyone has stepped up when we needed them and that’s why we are Big Tens Champs!
It was really nice to have last weekend off. It was very good for the girls to have a little break. This is the first weekend they have had off since before we started competing. Some of the girls were able to go home for Easter, some went out of town and some stayed around Ann Arbor for a relaxing weekend… With a nice relaxing weekend the girls started fresh in the gym. They are very excited for this weekend and are looking forward to the meet. They have been working hard and keeping the momentum going from Big Tens. I have a very good feeling about this upcoming meet. We have off tomorrow from practice and then we’ll have a light practice on Friday before the meet Saturday. I hope to see all of you there. We all look forward to having as many fans at our meet as possible. It always gets us fired up! Well, that’s about it for now. Time to hit the books and do a little work before bed. See you all Saturday!!!!
Go Blue!!!!

• Hello Michigan Fans!

I can’t believe how fast this season has flown by! I can’t explain how proud I am that our team stuck together and claimed another Big Ten Title for Michigan! As a freshmen, that meet was most fun I have ever had in my life. Our team had energy, heart and determination, and we all came together to prove that through all the adversity we still have what it takes! We are all so fired up from that meet that we are planning on carrying the momentum into regionals, and we are excited to compete against teams that we haven’t seen all season in our home environment at Crisler. Ahh…I can’t wait! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

C-ya Saturday, GO BLUE!

• Hello Michigan Fans!

It’s Becky and Huneth writing to you on this very warm Monday! We hope you all are doing very well. We just got done with our meet against Penn State which was alumni night. It was very exciting to see them in the stands cheering us on. On a recap of the meet… we started off really strong on vault and bars but struggled on beam a little bit. However, we came back strong on floor and finished with a lot of energy! Everyone is so excited for Utah this weekend and also the beginning of spring break when we return to AA. There was a lot of energy in the gym today and everyone looked so good. New CD’s were made for the gym so that just made it even better.

I hope everyone had a fun filled weekend because I know Becky and I did. After studying on Saturday, Katie, Becky, and I went to the Movie Theater and watched Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. It was such a good movie and the soundtrack is so amazing! On Sunday, Becky and I went to the grocery store and bought stuff to make banana nut bread, pumpkin raisin cookies, and a chicken pasta dinner that I saw on the cooking channel. Becky did the baking and I did the cooking. Let me tell you, it was delicious!

Well, we hope you all have a wonderful week! We are all pumped up for the second half of our season. Just want to say good luck to Jordan on her surgery this week. She’s been so patient with everything and we hope for a fast recovery. Take care everyone and as always, GO BLUE!

• Hey all!

We just competed in our annual State of Michigan Classics meet. Sarah had surgery a couple days before the Classic meet and was still was able to come up and support us. Although we didn’t do as well as planned, we are excited for our tri-meet this Friday. We’ve started this week off strong in the gym. I have a new dismount on bars I’m playing with, so lets see if I can put it in for Fridays meet! We’re competing against Nebraska and Illinois and I’m excited for another home meet in front of our amazing home crowds. There is nothing better than running under the giant block “M”!
GO BLUE! BURN IT UP!

• As if our team has not had enough bad luck with injuries in the last couple of weeks...we were once again thrown another boundary to overcome. However, everyone keeps stepping up and we did amazing! Last night was such a great experience. I finally understand what it means to be apart of such a wonderful team. Everyone was supporting eah other, cheering, and just having a great time. We went in there strong....Denver has not beaten Michigan in gymnastics since 1985...and last night was not going to be any different. We knew deep down that we could do it and we did just that! Go Blue!

• Hello Michigan Fans!
It’s Jackie and Sarah again! Well the 2007 season is underway! We’ve had two meets thus far and we, as freshmen, are so excited to wear the block M on our chest. Last weekend we took a bus to West Virginia. It was a blast to hang out with the girls, play games and watch movies for the whole trip. We really have great team chemistry this year! Our performance was good. We had some first meet jitters but we overcame them and ended up having a great time! Unfortunately, it was really sad to lose two of our best kids, Bruck and Jo, but we know they’ll be supporting us in the gym and at every meet. It’s nice to know they’re behind us! This weekend was our first home meet. We needed people to step up and show what they had! Which of course they did! We were so proud of the sophomore class and how Becky won 3 events!!! Hun and Tatchi were also awesome as they competed a majority of the events! GO UNDERCLASSMEN!! This week we face Denver. We are excited to go out there again and be able to show our fans what we’ve been working so hard for and also to try and improve from the last meet. We hope all of you will be there rooting us on!

• Hey everyone!!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you are enjoying the holiday season!! I was able to go home Wednesday night until Sunday morning. I always love going home to see my brothers and sisters and of course the good home cooking. I do a lot of cooking at school, but there is always something about the way that Mom makes things. I made most of the Thanksgiving meal with my Grandma while some of my family cut wood for our fireplace. I am a big fan of country music and was able to go to the Dierks Bentley with Miranda Lambert concert with my four sisters in St. Paul, MN while I was at home. It was a really good concert and fun to be able to spend quality time with my sisters.

The house that I live in with Lindsey, Carol, and Katie is looking quite festive. We have a decorated tree in our living room along with some garland, lights and stockings around. I also have a little tree decorated in my bedroom. I love this time of year!!

The atmosphere in the gym this year is amazing and our five wonderful freshmen are getting ready to enter Crisler Arena as Wolverines for the first time this Friday!! We are all very excited to be competing again for all of you to watch. I can’t believe how fast the fall went... some days it feels like I just returned from summer vacation. I hope to see you all at our Intrasquad meet this Friday night at 7:30 at Crisler Arena!!

GO BLUE!!

• Hello everyone!
We hope you all are having a great fall so far. Ours is going really well. We can’t believe it is our last year. It feels like yesterday we were walking in as freshmen. I guess the saying is true, time flies when you’re having fun.
Everything is going really well in the gym. We are really excited about our team this year and the new freshmen. They bring a lot to our team both in and out of the gym. We are so happy to have them. They defiantly make us laugh at least once everyday ?.
We are a little less then a month away from Intrasquad. The team is looking really good. I know everyone is excited but also nervous. We hope that all of you will come and cheer us on. We also hope you guys are as excited as we are for a great year!!! It is going to be a lot of fun.
Well back to our homework but we will talk to you soon.

• Howdy Michigan Gymnastics Fans!
It’s Jackie and Sarah (otherwise known as Jack-a-Bee and Sae-Dog). We’re two of the incoming freshmen this year. Well we’ve officially been here for about 10 weeks and Michigan definitely feels like home. Classes are rolling right along and we’re getting ready to choose new classes! How exciting! Also, yesterday the football team extended their winning streak to 11!!! We’re so excited for the Ohio State game this weekend. GO BLUE! Practice has been going well. We’ve started increasing our number of routines as we get ready for the intrasquad. It’s coming up soon and as freshmen we can’t wait to put the block M leos on! Next week will be our first holiday that we get to go home for. It’ll be nice to see family and friends (and for Jackie to eat lots of Thanksgiving desserts). Although, it’s always nice to know that upon returning our second family (the team) is here for us. We can always count on them for anything and we love them!

Ok well we should get back to the books, but happy early Thanksgiving!

Let’s go Let’s go Let’s go BLUE!!!

• Hello UM gym fans!
I hope you all had a fun Halloween… I know I did! We dressed up for practice, like we do every year, and I must say that everyone looked so great! The freshmen dressed up as black cats, the sophomores were Siamese triplets, and the seniors were ‘super seniors’ (with capes and everything). We, the juniors, dressed up as contestants from one of our favorite childhood TV shows, Legends of the Hidden Temple. We even had authentic Legends of the Hidden Temple t-shirts… I was on the ‘Red Jaguars’ team, Nellie was ‘Orange Iguanas’, L-Bo was ‘Green Monkeys’, and Liebs was ‘Silver Snakes’. The coaches dressed up too; Bev was a policewoman, Louis was Bart Simpson, Eddie was a rabbi, and our trainer Lisa was a pair of Michigan vs Ohio State football tickets (something we all wish we had!). Scott was not there, but I think we can forgive him for his absence because his wife had just had a baby boy! Yep, Scott is a daddy now! I saw a picture and the baby is absolutely adorable! So, all in all, I guess you could say that it was a very exciting week. Go Blue!!

• Hello everybody!

My name is Maureen Moody and I am one of the five freshmen. So far, things have been going very well and I am loving college! I just can’t believe it is almost Halloween; the fall is really flying by! The team is amazing and has really helped me adjust to classes, practice, and college life in general. We have been doing one on one bonding with a different teammate each week which has been a great way to become close with all the girls and discover the best places to eat on campus  I have never been more excited for a competition season before and can’t wait for the meets to begin. The team has been so motivated and focused; I think we are going to have a great year! I am also excited for our Halloween practice which is coming up shortly. Each class decides on a theme and dresses up in costumes for practice. I have seen some pictures from previous years and can’t wait to see what all the girls show up in! It has been a fabulous fall and I know the rest of the year will be fabulous too! I hope this post finds you all well and GO BLUE!

• Hi everyone!

First let us introduce ourselves; we are Kelsey and Jordan, two out of the five freshmen. We are so excited to be apart of such a wonderful team. We have been adjusting to our new lives, which has been difficult but fun at the same time. Jordan has been wearing her Ugg boots because she thinks the weather is already cold...but me being from Iowa, I let her know that it is only going to get colder from here. Anyway, last weekend, our team volunteered for a down syndrome Buddy Walk. It was a great experience, and we enjoyed helping the community and meeting new people. Jordan and I had a lot of fun playing duck-duck-goose with the kids. Another experience that we both have enjoyed was going to Mott Children’s Hospital to visit the patients. We got to sign hats, talk with them for a bit, and take pictures with them. This experience was very rewarding. In the gym, things have been going wonderfully; Jord and I are excited because our team is very motivated. We have been working extremely hard, and we are very excited for the upcoming season…we think it is going to be great!

Talk to you soon, but until then, GO BLUE!

• Hi all,

I hope everyone had an amazing summer and is now ready for another exciting season of Michigan Athletics! I had a beautiful summer, my weekends were spent on South Beach and my weekdays were spent in the gym. It was so nice getting to see everyone back home. But I’m so excited to be back in Ann Arbor! I’m taking really interesting classes this semester, such as Intro to Buddhism and Jazz. But the best part is getting to train with our new freshman class. They are all so good it’s defiantly keeping me on my toes! All of the returning team looks great and everyone is working hard. It’s tons of fun to be able to train with everyone again. I’m most excited for you all to see our new floor routines! The music and choreography is so good, I think everyone will love them. I hope everyone has been supporting Michigan football, were dominating! Its great to be back and keep up with the team talks to keep up with our pre-season!

GO BLUE!
