Q & A - About Gymnastics and U-M

Why do you like doing gymnastics?		It makes me happy! I always have and I always will!!
What is your favorite event or routine? Why?		Bars, because I love it.

What attracted you to the University of Michigan?		The girls were so open and fun, and I knew I would fit in well. Also, the campus is beautiful.
What has been your most memorable gymnastics moment at Michigan?		Probably our team activities weekend. A whole weekend together as a team. We played a lot of games and bonded! It was a blast!

What has been your most embarrassing moment in the gym (ever)?		I've been doing left handed cartwheels during our warm-up for the last two months when I'm a righty, because the two people that I always follow are leftys ... so I just thought we were supposed to warm up on our bad side! Tachi let me know that I was doing it wrong :) whoops!
What goes through your head immediately before a routine?		"Here we go again!"

What advice would you share with up-and-coming Michigan gymnasts?		What you put into practices right now is what you are going to get out of it later. Love what you do!!
What is your favorite part of the gym meets?		Probably that you compee one person at a time. Everyone in Crisler is going to have their attention on one person.
Other than Michigan, where is your favorite place to compete and why?		I'd have to say Illinois, because I get to see my family.

What is the most interesting person that you've met at UM and why?		I've only been here two months, but I've met so many interesting people. Lisa, our trainer, is one of a kind! Professor Kwak and Amber Gray are also up there on the most interesting list :)

What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?
Both of my sisters went to the University of Illinois for gymnastics.

How would your teammates describe you?
Crazy, blonde, and loves to dance.

Who is one of your role models and why?
My dad, because I've always looked up to him.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
A happy, successful, self-supporting business woman living in a high rise on Lake Shore Drive.

Besides gymnastics, what is one thing that you do well?
Slalom and wakeboard.

If you were given $431,718 how would you spend it?
Take my mom and sisters and self on a big shopping spree!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To fly!

What’s the best way to show your Michigan spirit?
Paint your stomach!!

Since beginning college one thing I’ve learned is that…
don't lock your room key in your room when your roommate is out of town! It's not that fun!
