Q & A - About You Personally

At what age did you start gymnastics?
12

How did you become so involved in gymnastics?
I was always the small kid and just wanted to flip, so my parents started me in gymnastics and martial arts.

What is your favorite event? Why?
To coach: bars. To do: parallel bars, rings, floor, and vault. I liked everything but pommel horse.

What inspires you to keep going after a disappointing meet or tough week of practice?
I love what I do.

What is something unique about yourself?
I wouldn't say it is unique, but I like to think that I am always optimistic and have a positive outlook.

Of all of the places you have traveled to, which has been your favorite and why?
Growing up as an Air Force brat, I have traveled out of the country a lot. But since I love to dive, I would say anywhere in the Carribean.

Who do you admire most in this world and why?
I am constantly admiring the wonders of God's creations. The beauty and tranquility of the underwater world, Alaskan wilderness, the Grand Canyon, to name a few things.

Besides family and friends, what is the one thing you couldn't live without?
I know this may sound corny, but I'd have to say 'a purpose'. In my life, I feel that I'm meant to, as the saying goes 'leave things better than you found them'.

What is the one thing that you miss the most about college?
Being young enough to tumble and partner stunt all day long.

What is the one thing that you do not miss about college?
Early morning classes

What has been your best Halloween costume?
Freddy Kruger

Do you say 'soda' or 'pop'?
Pop

What do you do on the bus/plane when traveling to away meets?
Listen to mellow music or watch a movie
